The Agenda goes to press with the seasons. It will be published in July for summer; October for fall; January for winter; and April for spring. Publishing occurs mid-month; contributions and ads come in between issue installments.
For contributors, this will allow the time to develop their work—written content, art or illustrative submission, photo essay or comics. Submissions can be made through the Web site. You will hear a response to your idea or contribution; Agenda staff can help you develop your work if you like, or simply let you know it was received.
For local businesses, restaurants, shops or community organizations, this amount of time between issues means a nice, long shelf life for an advertisement. Ads can list future events, highlight educational programs, or announce any number of things a business or nonprofit has to offer a city.
With a standard schedule and a dependable output cycle, contributors, advertisers and those who wish to participate will have a set understanding of when The Agenda will publish and how to submit.
There are many people who have participated in this paper over the past three years as both contributors and advertisers. Unique to The Agenda are the connections that have extended into the city from this one small little outfit. Think of what the big guys could do if they had the heart. Now we have a schedule as well as the heart.
Our Web site, at www.agendanation.net, will provide updates to our publication schedule; information about deadlines; and a way to contact us with ideas or your submissions of art, articles, or comics.
If you would like to advertise, please contact us. Increased demand for space will also increase the number of pages we dedicate to editorial content, images, art, special events, and city issues. If the stars are in our favor, we might run earlier or more often.
